Why we do it
The Fun day began life in 2003 as a fund raising event for Cylch Meithrin Y Gromlech the nursery school for the two villages. Organised by Debbie it raised £2000 and was a complete success. The following year bad weather forced the cancellation of the planned event on the day which was a great disappointment for all concerned.
In 2005 Amanda joined with Debbie and they took the idea for a community event to the Regeneration Group in the hope of support and help with the organisation. Mark was asked to join as chairman of the new sub committee and the Fun day as we know it was born.
One of the first decisions made by the new committee was the hire of a marquee to ensure that no matter what the weather may throw at us “The Show must go on!!”
